My conversation with HSBC customer service

Me : I would like to request free annual fee for next year
Her : Sorry we have no such program at this moment
Me: OK, then I would like to cancel my credit card
Her: Ok, please wait a moment, we will assist you in a moment
........
Her: Mam, we can cancel your annual fee if you agree to activate your card protection program with us
Me: Mmm no, I don't want that
Her: Ok then, if not, we have a program where you use your credit card 3 times in 2 weeks, for any amount, then we will cancel your annual fee
Me: 2 weeks?? I'm not even sure I'm going shopping in these 2 weeks. Just cancel my credit card.
Her: Ok, we will cancel your annual fee.
Me: ...........

A waste of phone minutes...
