iPad invasion

My dad came home from Singapore bringing me an iPad 32GB with WIFI + 3G. Actually, even though I can consider myself a gadget maniac, I wasn't too into the whole iPhone/iPad situation. But playing it for a while already made me realize that it is indeed a very good thing, very convenient. I can now throw out my organizer book, for example :P

Anyway first thing to do with an iphone/ipad of course is to JAILBREAK the thing so I could enjoy all the (free) apps. But little did I know, my iPad came with a firmware version 3.2.2, which cannot be jailbroken :-(

I have tried and tried any method available online (from multiple forums), and it just doesn't work, people say it's too late now, a month ago maybe I could still do it.

Anywho, with the deepest sorrow, I'm gonna need to start paying for applications I need. A lot of them are still free, or cost only USD 0.99 so it might be OK.

One app really caught my attention, which is the HomeBudget with Sync app. It's an expense tracker/checkbook balancer/Bill Reminder all-in-one, and for the full version I would have to pay USD 4.99 (still OK), especially considering I have been looooooking all over for this kind of app for my Blackberry and couldn't find a good one. So after October, I'd say goodbye to XPENSER, which was crappy anyway.

But even so, I'm still half-expecting that someone would come with the Jailbreak soon! :P
